Xiaomi was co-founded by eight partners on 6 April 2010. They are Temasek Holdings - a Singaporean government-owned investment company, the Chinese venture capital funds - IDG Capital and Qiming Venture Partners, and mobile processor developer Qualcomm. On 16 August 2010, Xiaomi officially launched first Android-based firmware: MIUI.
MIUI is developed by Xiaomi, is a stock and aftermarket firmware for smartphones and tablet computers based on the Google Android operating system. MIUI includes various features such as theming support.
